A new logo and a new high-tech collection for Aboutblu, the brand owned by the Panther shoe factory in Bovolenta (Padua).
For more than 40 years we have been producing shoes to protect feet in the most complete way possible. We take care to make them safe not only from dangers due to possible accidents, but also from the wear and tear that work inevitably exerts on them and their bodies.

The new collection is called ‘Formula‘ and is the result of the study carried out by the Veneto-based company in its Research and Development laboratory,
“In Formula – explain the company – everything contributes to the highest degree of comfort and safety: the materials, the shape and the technologies. The result is a healthy and eco-sustainable shoe that respects the anatomy of the foot and therefore the postural function of the entire body, improving muscle activity and increasing work performance with an eye to the environment“.

SUSTAINABILITY FOCUS
LAST AND UPPER
Among the shoe’s strengths, apart from advanced technologies such as the anatomical last and the Composhank anti-torsion support, are the latest generation of eco-sustainable materials. Fromula’s uppers are made from ProWeave, a polyester yarn fabric made from recycled RPET plastic. They are recycled/bio yarns characterised by high tenacity, Jacquard processing reinforced with TPU yarn to increase abrasion and tear resistance, water repellent and very breathable.
SOLE
The soles are made of bi-density PDU/PU. This particular type of sole is made thanks to the new Desma 24 injection machine, which uses recycled Basf PUR Elastopan® polyurethane foam granulate, obtained from production waste material, to inject the midsole.
The bi-density PDU/PU sole absorbs shock and cushions impact on any surface, limiting the risk of injuries and sprains and ensuring comfort during long working days. The tread is polyurethane and high-grip, resistant to wear, oils and hydrocarbons. It leaves no marks.
INSOLE
The thermoformed Fresh Insole is made of ladderproof multilayer fabric made of bi-density polyurethane foam from recycled material. Completely breathable and fast-absorbing thanks to a special perforation on the sole for a foot that is always dry. Antistatic, antibacterial, anti-fungus. In addition, the presence of active carbon keeps the foot free from unpleasant odours. Complete with shock-absorbing heel support to reduce impact on the entire spine and arch support to ensure greater comfort.

The experts – through tests with the latest generation of machines such as the Cryovizion and the baropodometric platform and tests carried out on workers – were able to ascertain the benefits of wearing Aboutblu footwear.
Through the images that these instruments provide, one can literally see the muscle work: the colour blue corresponds to correct work and therefore correct posture. Ultimately, when a worker wears proper footwear, he or she performs better in the workplace. Years of treatments and statistics carried out on working patients have shown that many of the postural alterations are caused by muscular overload due to poorly managed working postures and the use of the wrong footwear.
ANIMAL FREE
Finally, it should be noted that Formula is animal free: no animal parts have been used in the manufacturing process of the materials.
The new collection offered by Aboutblu proves that it is also possible in the world of occupational safety to think of sustainable shoes without sacrificing comfort and health protection requirements for the wearer.
