SENDANCE
Let’s stay on the technological front to discover Sendance’s proposal. A spin-off of the LIT Soft Materials Lab at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Sendance presents its innovative wearable technology designed for various sectors, including sport and leisure. In particular, the company presents a network consisting of a variety of sensors, which thanks to its softness, elasticity and permeability can also be integrated into soft surfaces and which, via the Sendance-cloud, is able to establish a connection to a sole in order to display and store sensitive data securely.
BUFFER
We always talk about advanced technology and science applied to footwear when we come into contact with Buffer, a proposal that is positioned between the magical and the amazing. Hard to explain in words, but very interesting to see in action.
BUFFER is a Microshock Absorbing Membrane developed by Skopre s.r.l. which, inserted at the points of contact between the body and external agents that transmit shock from impacts and microshocks, allows for benefits in terms of prevention and improvement of pathologies such as heel pain, back pain, tingling and numbness of the parts, as well as benefits in post-performance recovery times and/or injuries. Available as a finished product and as a material in rolls to be inserted in components at production level.
INSOLE
As we said, an insole can also take care of the environment and offer connotations of sustainability. The new lines proposed by Insole go precisely in this direction.
Biobased Aerosole: new product made of natural, recyclable PU foam made from 90% sugar cane waste with a natural latex rubber foam insert (orange) and cellulose sponge insole. Another article (R593) is made of coconut fibre reinforced with natural latex and wool, suitable for winter. Let’s move on with the Patented Skinair – Active Breathing System: innovative Walk On Air insole with three-dimensional material in the heel (3D pad 98% air volume). SATRA tested. Lightweight, sustainable, conductive. Also suitable for safety shoes and outdoor use.
CUOIO DI TOSCANA
Two of the most talented designers of the young Italian creative generation, Federico Cina and Marco Rambaldi, signed the new leather insoles presented by Cuoio di Toscana.
Cuoio di Toscana, the leading international consortium in the production of sole leather obtained by slow vegetable tanning, presented the two new insoles designed to protect the health of consumers and the environment. Thanks to the processing of the vegetable tanning in the tank and the use of tannins, in fact, the shoe with vegetable leather insole and lining maintains a fresh and dry environment that inhibits the development of bacteria responsible for bad odour. The new insoles are also biodegradable, low environmental impact, metal free, breathable and 100% natural, in keeping with the tradition of the tanning consortium.
“The principles of sustainability and traceability constitute the heritage of the Cuoio di Toscana brand, which today adds a further piece to the consortium’s green values and does so with the talent of two young Italian designers, Federico Cina and Marco Rambaldi, and in collaboration with the Italian Podiatrists’ Association,” said Antonio Quirici, president of the consortium.
